Michael Jackson, dies at 50.... 1958 - 2009  Here are some links to check out (his songs and video's) a tribute to someone who touched many peoples lives.

June has arrived and we are trudging right along with great weather (for the most part), things are green, growing and full of color.  Flowers have began to bloom, gardens began to grow and yards require maintenance.  Oh the joys of summer, and all which goes along with it.  In this edition of Great Things Chicago we will take a look at some of the great activities for summer fun, explore some opinions on what can put the brakes on summer fun and take a look at what the economy has been doing.

Great Things Chicago continues to become a prominent Chicago Magazine, filled with useful information and resources for the Chicago Traveler or Residents about the Chicago-land area, news and events.  We continue to explore things unique to the Chicago area like Chicago Travel, Chicago Destinations, Chicago Luxury, Chicago Accommodations, Chicago's Concierge Services, Chicago Restaurants, Chicago Parks, Chicago Tours and much, much more.  As Newspapers, Magazines and other paper-based media sources struggle to survive, on-line content continues to thrive and we are here to fill that gap in information.  Great Things Chicago strives to provide the most diverse Chicago based information available, and with the ability to change content on a regular basis (without waiting for all the hassles of paper-based publication) we can stay up to date and evolve with our readers requests.  If you have examples or suggestions for video content, please contact us (subject line: suggested video) and we can consider it for addition to our site.  As always, thank you, pass the word about our publication and enjoy regardless if you live in the area or are just a Chicago Traveler.

Taste of Chicago!  Great Things of Chicago is pleased to announce that we will be covering 2009's Taste of Chicago.  We will bring you an up-close and personal look at different events this year, stories, photo's and more.  Some of the Artists being covered will include (Charlie Wilson of The Gap Band), (Cameo), (The Wallflowers), (Barenaked Ladies), (Ne-Yo) and (Keri Hilson).  The events start 26 June and continue to July 5th, if you can please take part and support the community.  If you are not able to attend, please check back with us for updates of the events with interviews, photo's and more.  (Click here for this years events)
